## Description

Why Go Vegan is a registered community interest company (CIC) that helps people explore veganism and plant-based living. Its central offer is a 30-day vegan challenge, designed to introduce participants to reasons people choose a vegan lifestyle and its potential benefits for people, animals and the planet. The site provides challenge sign-up, guest interviews and a practical toolkit on how to go vegan, alongside information on veganism’s history, values, ethics and relationship to health, food systems, the environment and society.

Why Go Vegan also shares news and articles on topics including plant-based diets, animal treatment and the development of vegan culture. Its community resources connect visitors with UK vegan events, independent vegan businesses, campaign groups, animal sanctuaries, authors, podcasts, musicians and other creatives. Users can explore an events calendar, submit events or directory entries, and find information about vegan activism and campaigning. The organisation invites visitors to join its challenge and subscribe to its mailing list for updates. Its website also references VegfestUK, an organiser of major UK vegan events.
