The Humane Society of Wicomico County, established for over 50 years, is a dedicated organization committed to matching homeless animals with their forever families. As an open-admission shelter, we provide refuge to any animal in need, including lost, found, stray, injured, neglected, abandoned, or surrendered pets from our county. Working in collaboration with Salisbury City Animal Control and Wicomico County Animal Control, we offer temporary shelter and care to stray animals in our area. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely on public support through donations and fundraising events to operate. Our services extend beyond adoption, encompassing community programs to control pet population, resources to support pet owners, and euthanasia services for those suffering at the end of their lives.
