# Widdebierglaf - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `widdebierglaf.lu` ## Description Widdebiergfrënn is the community organization behind Widdebierglaf, a running event in Menster that welcomes participants and spectators of all ages. The event combines children’s races, adult running routes and an evening of food, music and celebration. Three organized children’s races begin at 5 p.m. and pass through the village centre, where every child receives a gift at the finish. At around 6 p.m., runners set off for the 5.5-kilometre or 10-kilometre Widdebierglaf from Zärdebierg, near the church. The course includes a stretch through the village, a climb towards the vineyards and Widdebierg, and a scenic route through nature and woodland. Water is available around kilometre five, and the finish is back at Zärdebierg. After the race, a shuttle takes runners to the football ground, where changing rooms and showers are available, before returning them to the village. The programme also includes an awards ceremony, live music, food and drinks.
