## Description

Wiganworld is an information site dedicated to the town of Wigan and its community. Founded by Brian, a proud native 'Wiganer,' this website serves as a platform to share local history, photos, and news with residents and ex-pats alike. As a programmer, Brian created and maintains the site in his spare time, fueled by his passion for local history. Although not a commercial venture, Wiganworld welcomes contributions and encourages the community to get involved. Visitors can explore forums, photos, classifieds, and more, providing a comprehensive snapshot of life in Wigan. Despite being established in 2001, Wiganworld continues to grow and evolve with new updates and contributions. As Brian looks to the future, he hopes for the site's longevity and encourages visitors to spread the word, attracting more contributors and fostering a thriving community.
