## Description

The WIGENWEB Project is a dedicated initiative aimed at providing free genealogical resources and data for individuals researching their Wisconsin ancestry. Established by a passionate group of genealogists, this project serves as a centralized hub for collecting and sharing genealogical databases across all counties in Wisconsin. The website offers a wealth of information, including connectivity to local genealogical societies, user-submitted queries, and valuable maps and tools designed to assist researchers in navigating their family history.

Coordinated by Marcia Ann Kuehl and Rebecca Maloney, the project relies on the support of enthusiastic volunteers to maintain and enhance the information, making it accessible for everyone interested in Wisconsin genealogy. For newcomers to genealogy, the project provides a comprehensive Guide to Wisconsin Genealogy, along with an extensive archive filled with free data. Whether you're just starting your journey or are a seasoned researcher, WIGENWEB is your go-to resource for uncovering the rich tapestry of Wisconsin’s heritage and ancestry.
