## Description

Wikimedia Community Malta is a vibrant user group dedicated to promoting wiki engagement within Maltese communities. Established as a registered voluntary organization in early 2016, it gained official status from the Wikimedia Foundation's Affiliations Committee later that year. This dynamic group focuses on enhancing participation in various Wikimedia projects, with a particular emphasis on the Maltese-language Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons.

Through a range of initiatives, including collaborative projects, training sessions, and outreach events, the community aims to foster knowledge sharing and content creation among its members. Notable events organized by the group include annual photo contests such as Wiki Loves Earth and Wiki Loves Monuments, as well as edit-a-thons aimed at enriching online resources. Wikimedia Community Malta is actively striving to cultivate a rich, accessible platform for all who wish to contribute to the collaborative spirit of the wiki movement, making knowledge freely available to everyone in Malta and beyond. Follow their journey on social media to stay updated on their initiatives.
