## Description

Wild Bearings is a fly-fishing brand dedicated to traditional craftsmanship, angling, and outdoor adventure. Its signature products are custom bamboo fly rods, handmade one at a time in its shop from high-grade Tonkin bamboo. The Rubicon and Touchstone Series draw on historic tapers associated with renowned rod makers, combining established designs with distinct features and aesthetics. Wild Bearings also offers vintage rod refurbishment and bamboo rod-building resources.

The brand’s broader range includes fly-fishing flies for different styles and conditions, fly boxes and tins, rod-building collectibles, and “He-Man” bar soap. Its publications include Fly Fishing the Blue Ridge Parkway, written by Sam R. Johnson, alongside resources about fishing and the outdoors. Wild Bearings shares its activities through webcasts, videos, fly-tying content, and adventure features, including material about fishing along North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Parkway. It also promotes Wild Bearings Outdoors, a television show connected with Mojo Sportswear Company and The Country Network. Together, its handcrafted gear, practical resources, and outdoor storytelling serve anglers, collectors, and people interested in fly-fishing traditions.
