## Description

The Wild Camel Protection Foundation (WCPF) is a UK-registered charity founded in 1997, with Dr. Jane Goodall as its Honorary Life Patron. The organization is dedicated to the preservation of the critically endangered wild camel (Camelus ferus) and its habitat within the delicate ecosystems of the Gobi Desert in north-west China and south-west Mongolia. WCPF stands out as the only global charity focusing exclusively on this mission.

Through dedicated fundraising efforts, WCPF has secured support from various international organizations, including the United Nations Environment Programme. The foundation not only raises funds for direct conservation efforts but also focuses on scientific research, education, and maintaining the Hunter Hall Wild Camel Breeding Centre. Their programs include fundraising events, educational activities, and sponsorship opportunities aimed at raising awareness and support for the species. The Wild Camel Protection Foundation invites individuals and groups to participate in its mission to secure the future of the wild camel, one of the planet's most endangered large mammals.
