## Description

Wildflowers of Ireland is a personal nature and photography project created by Zoë Devlin, documenting the wildflowers she has encountered across Ireland. The website presents her photographs alongside information that helps visitors identify and learn about native and other Irish wild plants. Visitors can browse plant listings by English, Latin or Irish name, search by flower colour, explore plant families and consult a glossary. The site also features a gallery and a monthly guide to plants currently in flower, inviting users to notice the changing flora along hedgerows, roadsides and ditches. Many entries include folklore, herbal information, historical context or literary references, adding cultural stories to the botanical material. Devlin welcomes corrections to plant identifications and encourages visitors to submit records of flowering plants. The project is complemented by her books, including Wildflowers of Ireland: A Personal Record, The Wildflowers of Ireland: A Field Guide and Blooming Marvellous: A Wildflower Hunter’s Year. Readers can find publisher and ordering information, and may contact Devlin about signed copies.
