## Description

The Hungarian Williams Syndrome Association (MWSzT) is a public-benefit organization founded in 1999 by parents of people affected by Williams syndrome, with support from ÉFOÉSZ and professionals. It works across Hungary and Hungarian-speaking communities in neighboring countries to support children and young people with Williams syndrome and their families, represent and protect their interests, and promote inclusion and greater independence.

MWSzT provides information and guidance for families, professionals, and people newly navigating a diagnosis. Its resources cover Williams syndrome, diagnosis, care, and practical guides. The association also organizes community gatherings, clubs, leisure activities, and specialist camps, helping families connect and share experience. Its programs aim to reduce disadvantage and support development through areas including special education, movement development, specialized language teaching, music education, and music therapy. The organization also promotes public awareness, supports research, and works with relevant organizations in Hungary and abroad. MWSzT shares news and educational materials through its website, publications, newsletter, and social media, and welcomes donations and volunteers to help sustain its work.
