## Description

The William Saroyan Foundation is a prestigious organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the renowned writer, William Saroyan. Founded in 1966 by Saroyan himself, along with his brother Henry and sister Cosette, the foundation serves as a steward of his literary estate. With a mission to honor Saroyan's literary contributions, the foundation has compiled and organized his extensive body of work over the years. Under the guidance of Robert Setrakian, a close friend and the executor of Saroyan's will, the foundation has managed the publication and production of Saroyan's novels, short stories, plays, musicals, songs, and opera. Their efforts have resulted in over 600 permission grants and numerous publications worldwide. Additionally, Setrakian edited and published Saroyan's final manuscript, Where the Bones Go. The foundation has assembled an esteemed Board of Trustees, comprising leaders in the arts, education, and business. Their collective expertise ensures that Saroyan's work continues to be enjoyed and produced across the globe. The William Saroyan Foundation holds a significant place in the literary world, preserving the invaluable contributions of one of America's most celebrated writers.
