## Description

Williams Family Circle is a multigenerational family organization that preserves the legacy and strengthens connections among the descendants of Mountain Williams. Its annual reunion began more than a century ago with the ten children of Josephine and Charles, who gathered to stay connected, support one another, and keep their family bonds strong. Today, the circle includes direct descendants and other branches of Mountain Williams’ lineage, carrying forward a tradition rooted in resilience, remembrance, and love.

The organization’s central offering is its annual Williams Family Circle Reunion, a weekend of activities in North Carolina that brings relatives together for fellowship and celebration. The 2026 reunion is planned for May 7–9 in Chatham County and nearby communities. The program includes a welcome gathering, a Saturday fish fry with games, music, food, and a bounce house, followed by an evening party with a DJ and dancing. Sunday activities include church, prayers, songs, and honoring ancestors at Williams Family Gardens, followed by a brunch buffet, meeting, and farewell.
