## Description

Wilrica is a local heritage society dedicated to the history, folklore and cultural heritage of Wilrijk, Belgium. Founded in 1973, the association began with a small programme of talks and the publication of an album featuring old postcards and views of the district. Its work has since grown into a broad collection of resources and activities for people interested in Wilrijk’s past and community life.

Visitors to Wilrica’s website can explore historical articles, genealogy, folk poetry and an image archive, as well as news, publications, books and brochures. The articles document people, places and traditions connected with Wilrijk, covering subjects such as parish history, local artists, monuments, sport, neighbourhoods and everyday life across generations. The society also shares archival photographs and documents that help preserve and illuminate the district’s story.

Wilrica provides a focal point for local research and heritage enthusiasts, offering ways to discover, record and share knowledge about Wilrijk.
