## Description

Winchester Gun Club is a community shooting-sports club in Stephenson, Virginia, with roots dating to the 1930s, when it began near the present-day location of Shenandoah University. In the early 1940s, local business leaders pooled their resources to purchase land in Stephenson and establish trapshooting facilities. Today, the club describes itself as the home grounds of the Virginia State Trapshooting Association and provides a setting for shooting activities, events, and camping.
