## Description

WindyBox is a free interactive wind simulator that lets users create and explore weather patterns on a live world map. Developed by @localmcr, it displays animated particles that respond to wind fields in real time, making it possible to paint storms, vortices, typhoons and other custom flows directly onto the map. Users can choose tools such as stream, vortex, sink and source brushes, adjust their radius and strength, and erase or reshape areas as they work. The simulator also includes cloud and damage layers, weather-station placement, particle display controls, color options and several map styles. For route-based experiments, users can add waypoints and play a storm path, adjusting its movement and strength along the route. WindyBox offers a demo typhoon for quick exploration, along with controls for saving and loading worlds, pausing or clearing the field, and customizing preferences. Designed for interactive experimentation, it provides an accessible way to visualize wind behavior and build dynamic weather scenarios without charge.
