## Description

Winterfolk is a prominent annual Blues and Roots music festival located in downtown Toronto, dedicated to celebrating the vibrant culture of folk music. As a volunteer-based, non-profit organization, Winterfolk has been instrumental in supporting artists by distributing over $750,000 to performers since its inception, with 80% of revenue directly benefiting the artists. The festival features an impressive lineup of more than 150 artists performing across five venues over three days. It showcases a diverse array of musical genres, including urban, blues, rock, jazz, country, and folk, complemented by special tribute events, an awards ceremony, and themed musical workshops.

Winterfolk aims to educate and engage the community through the joy of traditional and contemporary folk music, highlighting Canada’s rich cultural heritage. The festival also provides opportunities for emerging talent through auditions and performances, fostering local artists and contributing to the economic vitality of the community during a typically slow month for musicians. Join Winterfolk for an unforgettable experience filled with music, art, and community spirit.
