## Description

Winter Worlds is a Christchurch winter cycling race series built for everyone from experienced competitors to first-time racers and returning riders. Presented by Whoosh, it offers friendly, fast-paced racing on the open roads around Lincoln, with seven grades ranging from Elite to Development. Riders do not need club membership or a racing licence, and online and on-the-day entry are available. Main grades welcome riders aged over 15, while the Development Grade is open to all ages.

The 2026 programme includes two Sector Six Gravel events on 7 June and 12 July, followed by five Sunday road-racing rounds from 19 July to 16 August. Sector Six adds a short, repeatable gravel circuit designed as a distinctive challenge for confident road riders. Winter Worlds also provides race information, course guidance, results, updates, and volunteer opportunities. Senior entry is $35, with a $20 fee for riders under 19. The series is supported by sponsors, local partners, and volunteers, and aims to make winter racing accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable for a broad cycling community.
