## Description

Winthrop Mountain Sports is a Nordic ski shop serving Winthrop and Washington’s Methow Valley. Founded more than 30 years ago, the business combines retail expertise with the racing and coaching experience of its team, including owners Erik Bjornsen, a two-time Olympian, and Marine Dusser Bjornsen, a former French national biathlete. The shop helps beginners, recreational skiers, and racers find equipment suited to their ability, goals, and budget through personalized fitting and knowledgeable advice.

Its selection includes skate and classic skis, Nordic backcountry skis, boots, poles, bindings, bags, rollerskis, snowshoes, waxes, tools, and accessories. Customers can shop online or in person, book ski-fitting appointments, and reserve cross-country rental equipment for pickup in downtown Winthrop. Services include professional stone grinding, ski waxing, ski fitting, and wax clinics. The shop’s stone grinds are developed and tested for varied American snow conditions, supporting both everyday skiing and race preparation. With hand-picked skis, expert guidance, and shipping across the United States, Winthrop Mountain Sports helps customers prepare for time on snow.
