## Description

The Wise Wallet Initiative is a Black-led nonprofit based in Canada that works to strengthen financial literacy, economic stability, and wealth-building opportunities for Black individuals, families, and communities. Rooted in advocacy, empowerment, and cultural relevance, the organization initially focuses on Western Canada while aiming to serve communities nationwide. Its programs include interactive workshops and community training on budgeting, saving, debt management, credit building, and financial planning. One-on-one coaching and mentorship help participants set goals, develop money habits, understand financial products, and create sustainable plans. Youth and family programs build practical financial skills and encourage generational wealth, while broader economic empowerment support introduces investment basics, homeownership, and entrepreneurship finance. The Wise Wallet Initiative also provides practical resources, including debt repayment and mortgage calculators, business tax preparation and planning guidance, and articles on budgeting and debt. Its services are designed for people at different stages of their financial journey, including entrepreneurs, families, individuals, retirees, and young people.
