## Description

Wellington Kayak & Knee Board Club (WKKC) is a Wellington-based paddling club affiliated with Canoe Racing New Zealand. Rooted in Aotearoa’s long-standing relationship with the water, the club aims to grow kayaking locally and bring together people who enjoy being in, on and around the water. Its focus includes canoe racing disciplines such as sprint, marathon and surf ski paddling, while also welcoming participation for enjoyment and social connection. WKKC supports a community approach to the sport, combining racing opportunities with social events and a shared enthusiasm for paddling. The club has taken part in national competitions, including the 2020 New Zealand Canoe Sprint Championships, where its athletes earned medals in junior K1 and K2 events.
