## Description

WKUWORLD is a renowned brand in the world of kickboxing, known for organizing large-scale events and championships. With a rich history dating back to the GCO World Championships in Spain in 2006 and Karlsruhe, Germany in 2007, WKUWORLD has established itself as the world's oldest and largest sanctioning body for kickboxing. The brand caters to a wide range of participants, from young kids to veterans, with official age categories for kids, juniors, adults, and veterans. The events attract a diverse mix of participants, with a male to female ratio of 65% to 35%. Kickboxing, originally known as full contact karate, emerged as a sport in the mid-seventies when American tournament karate practitioners sought a system that allowed for kicks and punches resulting in knockouts. WKUWORLD played a significant role in kickboxing's international development, with American kickboxers competing in Japan under their banner. The GCO website serves as a comprehensive resource for kickboxing enthusiasts, providing up-to-date information and news about the sport. As the brand continues to grow, WKUWORLD remains committed to promoting and advancing kickboxing on a global scale.
