About

Description

The West Lafayette Go Greener Commission is dedicated to promoting sustainable environmental well-being in the City of West Lafayette and among its residents. Established by the City Council in 2008, the commission aims to gather and disseminate sustainability-focused information, plan and promote practical initiatives and public policies, and measure and monitor the city's progress on sustainability. Community members in the West Lafayette / Tippecanoe County region can apply to be members of Go Greener.

The commission holds regular meetings every third Tuesday of the month, open to the public, at the West Lafayette Public Library. In 2018, the West Lafayette Go Greener Foundation was established to provide alternative funding sources for commission projects and initiatives that enhance sustainable environmental well-being in the community. The foundation, with its nonprofit status, enables the commission to accept donations and apply for grants to improve West Lafayette.
