As an independent organization under the umbrella of the Baltimore County Fire Department, WMVFC operates a fleet of specialized vehicles including engines, an advanced life support ambulance, a brush truck, utility vehicles, and rehab units. The dedicated members of WMVFC undergo rigorous professional training from the Maryland Fire Rescue Institute to become certified emergency medical technicians, paramedics, rescue technicians, and firefighters.
