## Description

Stichting Wonen Met Zorg en Ondersteuning (WMZO) is a parent-led organization created to provide a suitable home and tailored care for people with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. At its Trompstraat residence, ten people live in a spacious, welcoming home designed to offer safety, protection and opportunities to develop and thrive. WMZO believes that a home is more than a roof overhead: residents should be treated with respect, taken seriously and supported to make their own choices wherever possible.

The foundation’s parents retain overall direction and responsibility, shaping care and support around residents’ wishes and needs. Its approach also emphasizes appropriate oversight, attention to residents’ wellbeing and satisfaction, quality management, and clear working frameworks for staff. WMZO aims to preserve its founding vision while considering how responsibility for the initiative may eventually be entrusted to others. The organization shares information about its residents and work, invites volunteers, and welcomes support through donations, sponsorships and periodic gifts.
