WNCAP (Western North Carolina AIDS Project) is committed to providing equitable access to care and reducing harm from HIV, Hepatitis C, and drug use. Founded in 1986 by a dedicated group of volunteers, WNCAP initially provided food, comfort, and care to individuals suffering from AIDS-related illnesses. Over the years, the organization expanded its services to include prevention education, case management, harm reduction, and pharmacy services.

Today, WNCAP serves thousands of individuals across 18 counties in Western North Carolina, offering free and confidential services. Their offerings include HIV and STD testing, education, condom distribution, pharmacy services, harm reduction, and HIV case management. WNCAP's mission is to create a community free of HIV, Hepatitis C, and overdose deaths.
