## Description

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWAV) is a pivotal initiative aimed at fostering a resource-efficient future through various actions across the EU. Scheduled for November 16-24, 2024, this event encourages local communities to participate in sustainable practices that minimize waste and promote recycling. The campaign, which started in 2014, also includes the "Let's Clean Up Europe" initiative, introduced in Germany in 2015, emphasizing collective efforts to clean streets and improve public spaces.

Supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and managed by the Federal Environment Agency, the EWAV provides valuable resources such as an action map, best practice examples, and materials for participants. The event not only raises awareness about waste reduction but also empowers communities to take part in meaningful environmental actions. With its focus on collaboration and education, the EWAV inspires individuals and organizations alike to contribute towards a cleaner, more sustainable Europe.
