## Description

Warsaw Cultural Observatory (Warszawskie Obserwatorium Kultury, or WOK) is a municipal cultural institution in Warsaw dedicated to observing changes in contemporary culture and society, building knowledge, and sharing resources. It brings together artistic practice and research to help people better understand the world and shape the future. WOK conducts and publishes research on cultural participation, audiences, barriers to engagement, and the work of artists and cultural organizations. Its projects include citywide studies, tools for institutions to assess their audiences, educational activities, and initiatives exploring how children and young people experience culture. The Observatory also supports artistic work and contributes to developing the foundations for a Warsaw dance institution, including evaluation of a pilot venue for dance and performance. Its program includes residencies, cultural education, workshops, events, publications, and the WOK.radar platform. Through research, collaboration, and public-facing resources, WOK serves residents, artists, researchers, and cultural institutions interested in how culture operates and changes across Warsaw.
