## Description

Wollux Afscheidsbegeleiding is a Dutch farewell-support practice founded by Carola Bekkers, who helps families create loving, personal ways to say goodbye and remember someone they have lost. Recognizing that every person and every farewell is unique, Carola works with families to share memories, explore their wishes, and shape meaningful moments that may offer comfort and hope. Her support includes guidance for funeral ceremonies, assistance for funeral-care providers, and the role of funeral speaker. Wollux also offers support around early loss, including pregnancy loss, and Carola serves as an ambassador for making this subject more openly discussed. In addition to farewells, the practice helps create remembrance gatherings that celebrate a loved one’s life and keep their memory present. The services are intended for different circumstances, from the loss of a child who was never born to the death of someone who lived a long and fulfilling life. Through conversation, personal attention, and shared remembrance, Wollux aims to help people find an approach to saying goodbye that feels true to them.
