## Description

Wombacher Laboratory is a chemical biology research group led by Dr. Richard Wombacher at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, within its Department of Chemical Biology. The laboratory develops tailor-made chemical tools to investigate and influence biological processes, bringing together organic synthesis, molecular biology and biophysical methods. Its work focuses particularly on selectively labeling biomolecules, including proteins, with small-molecule probes in living cells. The group designs and synthesizes probes and markers for studying specific biological questions and supporting advanced imaging and other biophysical techniques.
