## Description

UK Women in Fisheries is a pioneering network dedicated to empowering women involved in the UK fishing industry. Recognizing the critical yet often overlooked roles women play—from vessel owners to fishmongers and conservationists—this organization advocates for greater visibility and support for their contributions. Established in response to groundbreaking research by Dr. Madeleine Gustavsson and funded by notable institutions, UK Women in Fisheries seeks to connect and strengthen relationships among women across the sector.

Through a range of networking opportunities, events, and resources, members are encouraged to share experiences and support one another in a collective mission to enhance the industry's sustainability and resilience. The network is committed to raising aspirations and lobbying for improvements that will benefit all stakeholders in the fisheries sector. Joining this growing initiative not only amplifies women's voices but also promotes a thriving fishing community for future generations. Engage with UK Women in Fisheries and be part of this transformative movement.
