# Women's Brain Health Initiative - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `womensbrainhealth.org` ## Description The Women’s Brain Health Initiative (WBHI) is a North American charitable foundation established in 2012, dedicated to advancing brain health specifically for women, caregivers, and families. Committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by women in relation to brain aging, WBHI invests in pioneering research that explores the effects of sex and gender on brain health, with a focus on conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Among its key initiatives, WBHI funds the world's first Research Chair in Women’s Brain Health & Aging at the University of Toronto, where critical studies examine how midlife events impact women's cognitive health. Additionally, WBHI supports innovative programs like Brainable, which aims to educate children on mental wellness and the consequences of social media use. By collaborating with organizations such as Brain Canada and the Krembil Foundation, WBHI advocates for sex-specific analysis in research, ensuring that gender considerations are integral to studies on mental health and aging. Through its efforts, WBHI stands as a pivotal force in promoting women's brain health research and awareness. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Womens Health _(under Health)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/womensbrains) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/womensbrains) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id4uGLJtG4/w/598/h/182/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780315390406) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id4uGLJtG4/w/825/h/825/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1780315390556) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Diesel | #050000 | accent | | Mine Shaft | #313131 | dark | | White Lilac | #f1f2f9 | light | ## Fonts - interstate-condensed — asset _(custom)_ - var(--meta-font-font-family) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
