## Description

### Brand Description: Jimmy V Classic

The Jimmy V Classic, hosted by ESPN Events, celebrates college basketball while supporting a noteworthy cause. This annual doubleheader features high-caliber matchups from top college programs and is a central event during Jimmy V Week, a multifaceted initiative aimed at raising funds for cancer research. Named in honor of legendary coach Jim Valvano, the Classic takes place at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City, with its next event scheduled for December 10, 2024.

Through its partnership with the V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by Valvano and ESPN in 1993, the Classic emphasizes its commitment to funding impactful cancer research, having allocated over $310 million through rigorously vetted grants. With 100% of donations directed toward research efforts, the Jimmy V Classic not only showcases thrilling basketball but also drives significant progress in the fight against cancer. For sports enthusiasts eager to witness elite competition and contribute to a noble cause, the Jimmy V Classic represents an ideal blend of passion and philanthropy.
