## Description

Woodbridge Coastal Rowing Club is a friendly adult rowing club based on the River Deben in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Founded in April 2019, the club grew from a community St Ayles skiff-building project at the Longshed and now rows from Deben Yacht Club. Members use two traditional St Ayles skiffs, Whisstock and Whisper, for fixed-seat coastal rowing in the river’s scenic surroundings.

The club welcomes people aged 18 and over, whether they are experienced rowers or new to the sport. Prospective members are invited to attend a taster session, where the club can assess their experience and recommend membership or a place on a Learn to Row course. This introductory pathway helps new rowers develop the skills needed to take part in club outings.

Woodbridge Coastal Rowing Club also shares updates, outing reports and information about club activities through its blog and website. Its boats, rowing kit and blades feature the club colours of navy blue and gold. The club’s boats are stored at Deben Yacht Club on Jetty Lane, Woodbridge.
