## Description

Wooden Spoon is the children's charity of rugby, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. As a grant-making charity, Wooden Spoon funds life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland, with a focus on supporting children with disabilities or facing disadvantage. Wooden Spoon has a national presence, but it heavily relies on the efforts of local volunteers who raise the majority of its income. The charity ensures that every penny raised by these volunteers is spent within their respective communities, maximizing the impact of their fundraising efforts. Despite the challenging conditions of the past year, Wooden Spoon supported 43 charitable projects, benefiting over 100,000 vulnerable children and young people. However, the increased demand for support means that more children are in need of help than ever before. The charity's goal is to ensure that every child and young person, regardless of their background, has access to the best life opportunities. Wooden Spoon values its rugby heritage, which drives its core values of Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, and Fun. Whether through fundraising initiatives or volunteering, the rugby community is encouraged to come together and help change the lives of young people.
