Introducing Wooji, a lifestyle brand that draws inspiration from Asian-American pop culture. Our journey began over a decade ago at Anime Expo 2007, where a 13-year-old me accompanied my sister and her friends to the anime convention scene. With Anime Expo encapsulated in one room back then, I vividly remember immersing myself in the exhibit hall, saving up to buy that one unforgettable itemβan artist alley t-shirt adorned with a skull heart.
That shirt, worn until it faded from countless washes, sparked my deep love for clothing. In 2016, fresh out of college, I launched Button Mash Ninja, a business centered around selling fan art t-shirts featuring popular IPs. But realizing the need to create my own characters, I rebranded in 2017 as Wooji.
Our designs intertwine facets of anime, gaming, and my Asian-American heritage, embracing and showcasing our culture. Today, as we celebrate our sixth year, Wooji remains dedicated to spreading love for our community.
