## Description

Woolchemy is a New Zealand company developing high-performance materials for personal hygiene products using natural wool fibres and organic chemistry. Its patented bio-based textiles, NeweFlex and NeweZorb, are made from New Zealand wool and designed to combine product performance with sustainability.

NeweFlex is a biodegradable acquisition and distribution layer for disposable hygiene products, including diapers, incontinence products and feminine hygiene items. It is designed to help keep skin dry and comfortable. NeweZorb is an ultra-absorbent, breathable textile for multi-use applications. Woolchemy says it can absorb more than ten times its own weight in moisture while remaining dry and comfortable to the touch.

The company highlights wool’s natural absorbency and odour-resistant properties, as well as its renewable origins. Its materials are intended to offer alternatives to synthetic components while meeting consumer demand for convenient, effective and more sustainable hygiene products. Woolchemy grew from a team focused on improving personal care products, bringing together expertise in marketing and wool-based nonwoven and absorbent technology.
