## Description

Words in the Hills offers writing retreats and workshops designed to help creative writers grow their craft, share their work, and connect with others in natural settings. The program welcomes writers of all genres and experience levels, including poets, novelists, songwriters, essayists, and anyone who enjoys writing. Its events create a supportive environment for participants to explore their creativity and develop their practice.

The organization’s activities include seasonal retreats and workshops in Ohio. A spring retreat is scheduled for May 14–16, 2027, at Camp Oty’Okwa in the Hocking Hills near South Bloomingville. The website also lists a fall workshop planned for October 17, 2026, at Burr Oak State Park, but notes that it was cancelled because of a venue error. Visitors can find event schedules, instructor information, and registration details through the website, and can join the email list or follow Words in the Hills on Instagram for updates. Overall, the program brings writers together through shared learning and creative experiences in nature.
