## Description

Works That Work is an international printed design magazine that goes beyond traditional portfolios. It is a journal dedicated to inspiration and manifestations of unexpected creativity from around the globe. The magazine publishes original, in-depth essays and stories about the impact of creative ideas in everyday life. Editor Peter Biľak coined it as a magazine of unexpected creativity and aimed to challenge the perception that design is solely about stylish objects. Works That Work showcases human interest stories that demonstrate design's relevance to the wider public, featuring examples from various locations worldwide. The magazine also rethinks publishing models, treating readers as partners and ensuring transparency in its finances and operations. Advertising is limited to an average of just 3% per issue, with subscriptions and direct sales providing the majority of its budget. Works That Work received accolades and press coverage, making design accessible and surprising readers with new discoveries.
