## Description

The International Aluminium Institute (IAI) is the global representative body for the primary aluminium industry. Established in 1972, it brings together expertise from across the industry’s value chain to promote understanding of aluminium and support responsible production and sustainable development. The institute serves industry stakeholders, policymakers and the wider public through research, events, educational resources and global statistics.

IAI’s work covers mining and refining, primary production, transport, packaging, recycling, health and safety, and aluminium’s role in building and consumer products. It also highlights innovation and recycling developments, publishes technical guidance and reports, and convenes international conferences and industry events.
