World Bird Sanctuary, located in Valley Park, MO, is a renowned organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of birds and their habitats. Founded in 1977 by Walter C. Crawford Jr., the Sanctuary started as a small rehabilitation center for sick or injured raptors.

Today, it has grown into a comprehensive facility spread over 305 acres of Missouri hardwood forest, home to over 200 animals representing over 60 species from around the world. World Bird Sanctuary's mission encompasses conservation, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy.
