## Description

World Boating Day is a global celebration that connects the boating industry with the public through free, welcoming experiences on and around the water. Championed by Stichting Superyacht Life Foundation, the initiative invites companies, organisations and institutes in leisure boating and the superyacht industry to open their doors and introduce new audiences to their work. Participants may include shipyards, marinas, design studios and sailing schools, with activities offered in person or online.

Events can take many forms, including guided tours, presentations, workshops, sea trials, career days, press visits and family events. Visitors of all ages, including students, children, parents and media, can explore the maritime sector and meet the people and businesses shaping it. World Boating Day provides event listings and registration information to help attendees find local opportunities, while participant resources support organisations planning activities. The 2027 celebration is scheduled for 22 May, with events taking place throughout the week from 17 to 23 May. The initiative aims to encourage engagement and positive connections across the global boating community.
