## Description

WorldFish is a leading nonprofit research and innovation institution dedicated to transforming aquatic food systems for a healthier planet and population. With a focus on sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, they have been instrumental in reducing hunger, malnutrition, and poverty in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific for over 45 years. They recognize the importance of fish and other aquatic foods, which provide income for over 800 million people and supply 20% of animal protein intake for 3.3 billion individuals. By promoting sustainability, WorldFish ensures a bountiful future for generations to come. Their evidence-based solutions span six interconnected themes: nutrition, gender, climate, sustainability, economy, and COVID-19. They strive to create a sustainable blue planet where everyone, including children, women, and men, can enjoy well-nourished lives. With a vision of inclusivity and a mission to end hunger and advance sustainable development, WorldFish uses science and innovation to transform food, land, and water systems. Their strategy emphasizes global equity and seeks to provide equitable and sustainable access to aquatic foods, benefiting marginalized groups and low- to middle-income countries.
