## Description

The World Food Prize Foundation is an international organization dedicated to improving the quality, quantity, and availability of food worldwide. Established around the vision of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Norman E. Borlaug, it recognizes people whose work has made significant contributions to global food security. Its flagship honor, the World Food Prize, celebrates achievements across the food and agriculture sectors, while additional awards recognize emerging leaders, educators, and community initiatives.

The Foundation convenes experts and partners through events including the annual Borlaug Dialogue, DialogueNEXT, digital discussions, and the Iowa Hunger Summit. These programs create opportunities to exchange ideas and advance action on food security, nutrition, agriculture, and hunger. Its educational and youth initiatives include the Global Youth Institute, World Food Prize Youth Institutes, the Borlaug-Ruan International Internship, and the USDA Wallace-Carver Fellowship. The organization also provides nomination opportunities, learning materials, food-security resources, and information about laureates and agricultural pioneers. Through recognition, convening, and education, the Foundation works to inspire progress toward a more secure and nourishing global food system.
