## Description

World History Commons is an open educational resource designed for world and global history teachers, scholars, and students. It brings together peer-reviewed materials that support the study and teaching of history across regions and time periods. The site offers more than 1,700 annotated primary sources, providing contextualized materials for research and classroom discussion. It also features 100 teaching guides, 30 overviews of historical methods and approaches, and 250 reviews of relevant websites. These resources are complemented by teaching modules, visual guides, maps, and other examples that help users explore specific topics and interpret historical evidence. Featured subjects range from the Cold War and slavery to historical monuments, religious institutions, schools, and political change. World History Commons also provides a guide to using the website and video guides for community college settings. The project is associated with the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media and the World History Association. Its content is offered under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
