## Description

World Homeless Day, observed annually on October 10, serves as a global platform to raise awareness and advocate for solutions to homelessness. Initiated in 2010, this international observance is marked in over 100 countries, uniting individuals and organizations committed to preventing and alleviating homelessness. The day encourages community engagement through various initiatives, including health clinics, educational events, fundraising campaigns, and housing summits.

Participants are inspired to promote local efforts that address the pressing needs of those experiencing homelessness, while also celebrating achievements made over the past year. Activities may include hosting memorials for those lost to homelessness, organizing public rallies, and advocating for policy changes that improve the lives of vulnerable populations. As the 15th annual World Homeless Day approaches in 2024, communities worldwide are invited to join the movement, fostering collaboration and compassion to create lasting change in their local areas.
