## Description

The World Scouting Museum is a museum in Charleston, West Virginia, dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Scouting. It describes its collection as the largest in the world, featuring memorabilia from Scouting movements and organizations across many countries and eras. Exhibits include badges, uniforms, patches, postcards, stamps, and other artifacts, with displays covering subjects such as international Scouting, the Order of the Arrow, historic jamborees, and notable figures including President Ronald Reagan. The museum also highlights its Robert Lynn Horne Merit Badge College and other Scouting-related projects.

Visitors can explore the galleries through scheduled museum tours, with tickets and audio tours available. The museum asks guests to call for entry or arrange visits in advance because the building’s doors are locked. Located at 1615 Washington Street East, near the West Virginia State Capitol, it is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional offerings include an online bookstore, museum merchandise, a cookbook, parking memberships, and opportunities to support the collection through donations and volunteer service.
