## Description

World Skate is the international governing body for skateboarding and roller sports, officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee. Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, it oversees a broad range of disciplines, including skateboarding, speed and artistic skating, inline slalom, downhill, inline and rink hockey, roller derby, roller freestyle, scootering, skate cross and esports.

The organisation supports the development and regulation of these sports through competitions, athlete resources, education and governance. Its calendar features world championships, World Skate Games, World Cup events, challenger stages and the World Skate Marathon Tour, alongside events connected with the Olympic movement. The website provides news, event schedules, results, photos, videos and World Skate TV, helping athletes and fans follow the sports internationally.

World Skate also publishes organisational documents and discipline information, and offers resources covering anti-doping, safeguarding and the prevention of competition manipulation. Through its Academy, facilities initiatives and partnerships, it works to strengthen participation and sporting structures.
