## Description

The Harvey Ball World Smile Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2001 to honor Harvey Ball, the artist who created the smiley face in 1963. Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, the Foundation carries forward Ball’s belief that everyone can make a positive difference and that even small efforts to improve the world matter. It focuses on grassroots charitable initiatives that may receive little attention or funding, promoting kindness and the power of a smile.

The Foundation works to spread smiles and encourage kind acts, support World Smile Day, and collaborate with partners. It also offers licensing opportunities for the Smiley face design, inviting organizations to become licensed partners and work with the Foundation. Through its programs and partnerships, the organization connects Harvey Ball’s legacy with practical efforts to make a positive impact. Its website provides information about Harvey Ball, Smiley, World Smile Day, the Foundation’s work, key contacts, and licensing. The Foundation’s guiding message is to improve the world one smile at a time.
