## Description

The World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) is an exhilarating motorsport event held annually in Sydney, NSW, showcasing high-performance modified cars from around the globe. Established in 2008 by Ian Baker, the event originally stemmed from a local competition at Oran Park Raceway, inspired by Japan's vibrant time attack scene. WTAC now stands as a premier international gathering where elite teams represent their countries, vying for the prestigious title of World Time Attack Champion. The competition format emphasizes timed laps, with teams strategically pushing the limits of their vehicles to achieve the fastest single lap. Participants compete across four classes: Clubsprint, Open, Pro Am, and Pro. The excitement culminates in the Superlap Shootout, where the top five competitors from each class get a final chance to improve their times under optimal conditions. Beyond racing, WTAC offers interactive events, including the Garrett International Drifting Cup and Turbosmart Flying 500, inviting motorsport enthusiasts to witness adrenaline-pumping action and innovation in automotive engineering.
