About
Description
The Worthington Historical Society, based in Worthington, OH, is dedicated to preserving the rich history and heritage of the community. Founded in 1955, the Society has acquired and maintaned properties such as the Orange Johnson House, the Old Rectory, and the Jeffers Mound through donations from the community. These properties serve as living museums, offering educational opportunities and allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the pioneer history of Worthington.
From craft demonstrations, concerts, and Christmas programs to archaeological excavations and community events, the Society provides a wide range of experiences that inspire and promote public interest in Worthington's history. Supported by dedicated volunteers and funding from private contributions, membership dues, and grants, the Worthington Historical Society continues to be a vital guardian of the community's heritage.
